As I was contemplating how I was going to start this blog I realized that the best way to start it would be to share the best, most exciting and wonderful news that I could think of - the doctor's appointment where we found out the sex of our baby. Andrew and I went to the doctor yesterday and had an ultrasound. The technician hadn't looked for a minute before she declared we were having a baby boy! She than took her time looking around and taking measurements. It was so cool to see and recognize the different parts of our beautiful baby boy; and very emotional. He's a little heavy but nothing outside the normal range. He's about a pound and I'm at 21 weeks. All the other measurements where around the 50th percentile.
One of the funnest parts of the whole visit was seeing how our baby was reacting to the pushing of the ultrasound tools. When we were looking at his face he first put up one arm in front of his face. Soon after his other arm joined in and we couldn't see him anymore. A little later on we caught a look at his face again and he slowly did a 180, turning his face away from us. It was so cute. So I guess we have a shy little guy. I'm ok with that. It was also interesting to see how much he moved and how much of that movement I couldn't feel. Crazy.
He looks so cute and cuddly already, I can't wait to meet him! Congratulations you guys
